Pilates is an exercise sequence of movements to work the mind and the body in harmony. Designed to strengthen and lengthen the muscles and realign imbalances in the spine, hips and pelvis, improving balance and posture.
There are six key principles of Pilates:
Concentration, Control, Centring, Breath, Flow and Precision
The classes I teach combine a classical mat and contemporary Pilates style. suitable for beginners to Intermediate levels.
Beginner to Intermediate classes suit those looking to improve range of movement, muscle strength, core strength and postural alignment. By applying the six principles of Pilates, students gain greater focus and control in both their body and mind.
Water bottle, wear comfortable clothes, a warm layer for relaxation also a small towel and a mat if you have one, all other equipment will be provided.
